China Mines - Quinlong Mine

Carbonato-Cyanotrichite

This Antimonite mine in Guizhou region is not famous for Antimonite occurrence but for the presence of well crystallised secondary minerals.   Among these,  the mine started to produce from 2002 some outstanding Cyanotrichite. Cyanotrichite from Quinlong will probably became a world classic.  The mineral occurs in beautiful deep or pale blue radial groups of acicular xls up to 1-1,5 cm in size inside the vugs of a Quartz matrix.  Typical paragenesis is with Quartz xls, Fluorite, Malachite and Brochantite. In this page you’ll find a careful selection of this high quality material.
