In this page we offer you a fine selection  of a classic Norwegian  locality , Hydroxil - Apatite xls from OXSOYKOLLEN pegmatite, Snarum, Buskerud, Southern Norway. Hydroxil - Apatite xls in OXSOYKOLLEN  are a world classic  often found in most of Mineralogical Museums worldwide since the locality is knows from the early '900. Xls  are often  well developed with of white colour  and often associated or standing over nice deep green Horneblende xls . Cristals size may range from few mm to several cms. The largest xls observed in OXSOYKOLLEN pegmatite  are more than 10  cm in size but in general xls from 1 to 3 cm are more common.  When not associated with Horneblend xls, Hydroxil - Apatite develop inside pegmatite vugs over Albite and small Horneblend xls. Nowadays  exceptional specimen of  Hydroxil - Apatite xls on matrix are quite difficult  to recover. In this gallery nice large thumbnails and  miniature specimen from this world classic are offered at a very interesting price. All the specimens come from recent small works conducted at the OXSOYKOLLEN pegmatite. The locality also produced remarkable Horneblende xls (up to 20 cm) and minor garnets. A beautiful single white and  well developed  Hydroxil - Apatite xls with  a small deep green Horneblende xls associated on the top.   The crystal  is  about  3,5 x 2,5  cm in size.

       This is a beautiful classic specimen composed by some white and well terminated  Hydroxil - Apatite xls growing on deep green Horneblende xl. The larger Hydroxil - Apatite  crystal is about 2,5 x 1,5 cm in size.
