In this page we offer you a fine selection of a classic worldwide top quality Ilmenite locality,Åmdal, Froland (Southern Norway). The locality has been exploited during the 50s' to 60s'. Additional collecting have been attempted in the 80s' and the 90s' with poor success also if in the 80s' some good collecting material has been still recovered. The specimens offered came from this find. Today the locality is completely exhausted. The meaures are: lenght x width

Another really good specimen composed by some fresh Ilmenite xls togheter on well crystallised Piroxene matrix.The larger xl is well developed with perfect faces and black metallic luster, partially coated by a limonite crust. The large xl is 2,5 x 1,5 cm in size.

A very nice specimen composed by a single well developed Ilmenite xl on 3 x 2,5 cm on matrix. The Ilmenite is associated with some nice Piroxene xls . The crystal has well defined faces with metallic luster and partially coated by a limonite crust. Nice showing.
