In this page we offer you a fine selection of a classic Norwegian locality , Monazite xls from Bjertnes pegmatite, Krøderen area, Southern Norway. Monazite xls in Bjertnes are often extremely well developed with a dark brown to dark orange - reddish colour embedded in Mica Muscovite matrix. Xls size may range from few mm to several cms. The largest xls observed in Bjertnes pegmatite are over 7 cm in size but in general xls from 1 to 3 cm are more common. Due to the muscovite matrix most of the xls are collected as singles with just few remnants of muscovite matrix. Good specimen with monazite xls on matrix are quite rare to recover. In this gallery nice thumbnails and small miniature specimen are offered at a very interesting price. The size of the specimen are: lenght per width.
